Monsoon Erosion along Malvan Coast
Last week we visited Malvan for the monsoon data collection. The state of erosion of beaches is quite significant. At places where beach protection walls have been built by stones, the erosion is severe. So why build walls! leave it to the nature to maintain balance. To save the coast, protect the coastal dunes, have close spaced tree fense by planting trees which will help to hold the wind blown sand and dune built up. Following are few pictures of coastal erosion.

Met film actor Mr.Atul Kulkarni.
Yesterday, I had an opportunity to accompany Prof.Mense, to bring Mr.Atul Kulkarni from Kolhapur Airport. He was here in Yellur to attend Marathi Sahitya Sammelan as a guest. He spoke on Terrorism, its root causes, its effect on the society and many aspects related to effects of terrosim. I felt today, I met more than an actor a great thinker.
