I visited Kemmangundi, St.Mary's Island and Ankola with students on Geological study tour.

    Saint Mary's Island -Nice place I have not seen yet but seen inSHUBHAMANGALAfilm of Puttanna Kanagala. Hexagonal -Columnar structures by Deccan traps are excellent to view.

    Kemmangundi mines, ropeways, a spring with small falls near a temple -i remembered my visit to the area with Prof.Puttannaiah during my B.Sc.
